(c’70s) Edward Mitchel (guitar), Mick “Slim” Franklin (guitar). ? “Olly” Holbrow (guitar) and Mervyn Joseph (drums)
This Woking / West Byfleet band, named for guitarist Franklin, are known to have been booked to play Bunters. Guildford by manager Bob Huet in the ’70s. The Slim Franklin Band made the paper when their van stalled and burst into flame on the M1 near Bletchley, Buckinghamshire, enroute to a gig at RAF Greatworth, Northamptonshire. Nigel Hambley replaced Joseph on drums sometime after the M1 incident.
