Sat on the Goldsworth Road, ICBC was a general meeting point for nights out in the 1990’s, but it also tried its hand at being a live venue – although we can only trace two ICBC gigs currently. The first was on 14 November ’94 when Weaver performed at the venue; the second was four years later, on 21 March ’98, when Guildford band Mindwire along with Catching Flys and Puskas took to the ‘stage’.
Just West of Woking Town Centre it had many incarnations over the years including the Rock & Roll Kitchen c’2012 when The Farleys played the venue on 19 May, Bar Nation, Scratched (c’2004), Barcelona (c’2007), and Duvals. Its final hurrah was as Mojos which closed in 2013. It remained closed ever since and was due to be demolished as part of the town centre regeneration project, which was approved in January 2022.
